Tufts Health Plan Sponsors Patient Financial Services Room

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Celebrates the Completion of New Bedford Community Health’s Newest Patient Financial Services Room

NEW BEDFORD, MA - New Bedford Community Health (NBCH) and Tufts Health Plan, a Point32Health company, co-hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of an additional Patient Financial Services room sponsored by Tufts Health Plan. Our Patient Financial Services Department assists patients and community members in obtaining health insurance from public programs and other sources. In the past year, the department had over 15,000 visits from people who were in need of assistance in applying for health insurance.

Thanks to the $10,000 donation from Tufts Health Plan, NBCH could see an additional 3,801 visits in that room alone in the past year.
