Walk-In Appointments When You Need Immediate Attention - Located in New Bedford

Urgent Care is available for patients 5 years and older. The Urgent Care Department located at 874 Purchase Street in New Bedford offers walk-in visits for non-emergency medical conditions that require immediate care.

Minor injuries or illnesses that can be treated in the Urgent Care Department include:
•Simple cuts, burns, wounds, or stitches
•Allergies
•Asthma Attack (mild or moderate)
•Minor broken bones
•Cough, congestion, or sinus problems
•Cold, flu-like, or COVID-19 symptoms
•Sore throat
•Muscle sprains, strains, bumps, and bruises
•Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
•Eye, ear, skin, and other infections
•Painful urination
•STI testing

If you have any of these symptoms, call 911 or
visit the nearest hospital emergency room:

  • Difficulty in breathing
  • Unconsciousness
  • Severe bleeding
  • Chest pain or pressure
  • Moderate to severe burns
  • Convulsions or seizures
  • Serious head, neck or back injury
  • Loss of limb or severe broken bone
  • Suspected stroke
  • Asthma Attack (severe)
  • Severe broken bones
  • Severe burns or electrical shock
  • Severe back, neck, or head injuries
  • Seizures
  • Poisoning
  • Drug overdose
  • Suspected heart attack
  • Coughing or vomiting blood
