FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Joint Commission has granted accreditation to the Greater New Bedford Community Health Center for services provided for ambulatory care. The accreditation process is voluntary and involves an on-site evaluation of all the factors affecting the quality and safety of patient care. In earning the Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval, the Health Center has demonstrated that it has met the Commission’s rigorous performance standards. “We participate in this voluntary accreditation process to ensure that we always provide the highest quality care to the community,” says Peter C. Georgeopoulos, President and CEO. “The Board of Directors, administrators, doctors, and employees are committed to continuously improving that care.” The Greater New Bedford Community Health Center has been accredited since 1999. The Joint Commission accredits nearly 15,000 health care organizations worldwide. The Gold Seal of Approval indicates that an organization is committed to the highest level of patient safety and care. --###--
