Laboratory Services


Our laboratory hours are from 9:00am to 6:00pm Monday through Thursday; Friday and Saturday 9:00am to 5:00pm. We offer radiology and laboratory testing on-site.

The Health Center laboratory performs pregnancy testing, testing for Mono, CBC's, Rapid Strep A, and a wide variety of other tests to help our patients as quickly and as accurately as possible. The highly trained lab staff perform venipuncture and fingerstick blood draws, as well as HIV and other STD testing.

We are proud that the GNBCHC laboratory has passed COLA, one of the most demanding accreditation processes, with a score of 100%. The Greater New Bedford Community Health Center lab was the only laboratory in Massachusetts to receive COLA’s Laboratory Excellence Award in the 2006-2007 award year.
