About the DAISY Foundation

The DAISY (Diseases Attacking the Immune System) Award was established in memory of J. Patrick Barnes, who died at age 33 of an auto-immune disease. During his hospital stay, the nurses provided such extraordinary care that the Barnes family created the DAISY Award that continues to recognize great nurses around the country.

Please say thank you by sharing your story of how a Greater New Bedford Community Health Center's nurse made a difference you will never forget!
